What to do if you don't have a front garden. These lobelia and snapdragons are growing out of the cracks between the houses and the pavement. And I was pleased with my solitary little pansy.

Our rowan tree's flowers have gone over now, and the berries are swelling. I think they turn orange or maybe yellow - I can never remember. It'll be a nice surprise when it happens.

We got this hypericum from the bargain shelf in the garden centre in a fairly bad state. Last year, when we put it in, it put on an enormous amount of growth and had two lots of flowers and big fat berries. This year, it's gearing up for the same performance. Now that's what I call a bargain!
