The leaves on the Forsythia are changing colour now. They go a lovely colour, but it's very short-lived. One good blast of wind or deluge of rain, and they'll be gone.

This little berberis is kund of evergreen, but it drops some of its leaves in winter and turns a dark red colour. We did have it in the ground, but it seems happier in this tub.

Project for the autumn/winter troughs. I have a few small evergreens and these pretty violas to put in the troughs outside the kitchen door, to brighten things up in the dark months.

Asters - big daisies. Actually, I have no luck growing them at all. These are in a friend's garden, flourishing madly.

This is getting a bit more difficult now. I have an app for Blogger on my phone, which meant that I could take the picture and upload it directly onto the post. Now the app's started crashing, which means a certain amount of jiggery-pokery to do the post. Not so quick and easy as before, but I'm persevering.
